According to new Google Play Services release notes, Android phones will be getting a “new local file backup feature” with Google Drive.

Windows File Explorer has been around for decades, and while it includes some useful features, it still lacks many of the modern conveniences and productivity tools you'd expect from a file manager.

File Explorer does have a Preview pane, but it eats into the main window permanently, and it still only offers a very tiny preview. It could be much better.
